Gather Your Documents

- Date of birth
- Social Insurance Number
- Your most recently assessed income tax return (if you haven’t filed your taxes within the last two years, this may not work; contact your Hoyes Michalos Trustee for other options)
- Photo ID (Canadian passport, or Canadian Driver’s License, or Ontario photo ID card (but NOT your health card; it doesn’t work)
- Mobile device with a camera

You can verify your identity using your Canadian passport, or Canadian Driver’s License, or Ontario photo ID card (but NOT your health card; it doesn’t work)
Create a CRA user ID and Password
NOTE: You can use your bank as a sign-in partner, so you can log in to CRA with your banking credentials, but we don’t recommend linking your CRA login to your bank, because if you change your bank, you lose access to your CRA account.
Go to the CRA website and follow the prompts.
